Our services
The Dog Grooming Room
We offer essential grooming services tailored to keep your dog clean and comfortable. The grooming room is our garage, a one to one service for your dog, which will be particularly appealing to dogs who are maybe a little bit afraid of the sights & sounds of a busy salon
Dog Home Boarding
Our boarding doggie guests are encouraged to fully settle in. They are allowed in all areas of the house & can choose to sleep wherever they like, even upstairs with me.
Boarding dogs will wear a Weenect GPS tracker attached to their collar throughout their stay with us.
Charlie & I both have a level 3 Award in Canine Emergency First Aid
The price is £38 per 24hrs, an additional dog will be £25
This is a year round price, all we ask is a small deposit to secure bookings during busy periods such as school holidays, Xmas & Easter
Dog Walking
We offer regular dog walking or just a one off walk, whichever you need
The price will be £12 per hour
Dog Daycare
Bring your dog along to spend the day with us. We have a fully fenced garden, with lawn, trees, a little stream, a patio & garden furniture for your dog to mooch around or lie in the sun.
A day with us between the hours of 0700-1900 is £25
About us
The Dog House at no.13 began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for dogs. As a small business in Romiley, Stockport, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence in pet care.
After a long career, 33 years, as cabin crew, in the air dealing with customers of the two legged variety, I'm afraid that my patience with drunk passengers has just about disappeared.
Now, we enjoy spending our time caring for sober, furry four legged customers..... they are much less aggressive.
Although this website is new, for just over a year now, we have been offering a very successful home boarding service & now we have a growing number of regular customers.
Having just completed a Commercial Stylist course, we can now offer dog grooming as part of our service. Our garage is kitted out with brand new & scrupulously clean equipment.
We are fully insured & soon to be officially licensed by Stockport Council, although the wheels of bureaucracy are proving to be very slow to turn, the application has been 'acknowledged' 🤞
In the meantime, however, we can assure you that we are following the DEFRA Home boarding for dogs guidance, 2025, TO THE LETTER to keep your pets safe & happy.
As a new business we realise that we have a lot to 'prove' & because of this you can be very confident that our standards are exceptionally high.

"Honestly can not thank Rachel enough. We are thrilled that she welcomed our boys into her home and treated them like her own. The daily updates & videos were great. We felt totally at ease knowing that our boys were being well cared for and having the best time. Rachel took them on so many walks & let them have run of her beautiful home.
